Made for walking

Any recommendations on very comfortable dog walking trainers or shoes? I’m fed up with blisters!

Brasher walking boots and shoes are instantly comfortable straight from the box, you can find out more at www.brasher.co.uk.  However, everyone's feet are different so I would recommend the following steps to ensure your get the right fit for your feet:

Advice to remember when getting boots fitted:

  • Late morning/afternoon is best as feet usually swell during the day
  • Ensure the shop staff provide a clean fresh pair of tester socks in the correct size
  • As a secondary check, slide the foot forward so the foot is touching the front of the unlaced boot. In this position there should be a fingers width behind the heel
  • Remember to go for comfort above look as the deciding factor
I hope this helps - happy dog walking!

  1. On the odd occasion when I need trainers (as opposed to wellies for field/beach trips) I just wear my regular trainers - I'm lucky that I live close to the New Balance factory & shop - all my trainers are 'seconds', but I've never had a problem with them.

  2. Palladium! They're my festival shoe choice too. Super comfy. Also they have some with (a little) waterproofing as well :)

  3. I love North Face Hedgehogs for walking, they are lightweight, have great non slip soles and are water resistant.

  4. Brasher lightweight walking boots. Fabulous! I have been known to wear them all day long and I have very sensitive feet. Also make sure that you have good socks. Bridgedale are my favourite.

Another fan of the Brasher Supalites here! I have a pair of the Supalite II GTX leather walking boots, they are the most comfortable pair of boots I have ever worn. I usually find the part around the ankle really uncomfortable, but these are softest leather, comfy as soon as I put them on - waterproof too. Highly recommended!
