Looking after number one

I live in Turkey and bought your magazine on a vacation to London. I have a question to ask: I have an eight-year-old calm Golden Retriever and we are thinking of adopting another Goldie from a shelter. Both are male and the one we are thinking of adopting is really calm and docile. If we adopt him, what can we do to prove to our original Goldie that we still love him a lot?

  1. hi deniz,
i'm deeply impressed by your thoughtful question but there is no need to worry about it because dogs are unlike human beings when it comes to sharing love. especially goldies are friendly by instinct. so, i'm sure he will be happy to have a new friend. just be sure to show him your love as much as before. don't let him feel insecure and most importantly, do not forget to do him a huge favor when the newcomer arrives :)

good luck and congrats for adopting!

don't ever forget. love is always the answer.......
