Spud-u-like?
Are raw potatoes toxic to dogs? It's being asked on a forum, and the jury seems to be out.
Cooking potatoes breaks down the starch enabling it to be processed more effectively. Feeding raw spuds could potentially increase the risk of the dog ingesting poisonous alkaloids from ‘green potatoes’. So you are probably better to cook the potatoes however don't think eating raw potatoes would kill unless eaten in excessive amounts.
Yes, raw potatoes are safe for dogs to eat. If they don't chew them up properly it can cause problems, but otherwise it is fine.
