Spring Cleaning

Can anybody recommend any tips or products that will remove dirty marks from furniture? The weather is so bad at the moment and my dog has managed to get muddy paw prints over my floors, furniture and even up the curtains! I need some effective products that can restore my mud-ridden household to a clean and tidy state!

To all at Dogs Today,

I’m hoping you can help me please. I'm after some advice as I’ve just moved house to a house with far more carpet, and much thicker, better quality carpets than our previous home had. We’re not in a rush to change them as they’re decent enough and it’s the kitchen that needs the most work.

I’m finding myself doing a lot more cleaning of carpets than I used to! I have two dogs, an elderly Border Terrier and a rather energetic Cocker Spaniel. Both enjoy bringing mud in, and I’m sure watching me remove it!

What have you found to be the best vacuums and carpet shampoo to keep carpets as clean as possible?

I’d be so grateful if you could advise.

Eau de dog

The weather this Jubilee weekend not only spoilt our local street party but reminded me, after our short but glorious sunshine spell a couple of weeks ago helped my memory fade, just how ingrained the wet dog smell can get in sofas (not that I would possibly allow my two to share our human-only sofa..!).

Can the wonderful Dogs Today community recommend the best cleaning products or upholstery home remedies to rid the house of this stink?!
